  24. The wise will heed these words!! I have Uranus at 28 Cancer, and
  25. Mars will do its station mightly close to that point. The
  26. conjunction is pretty close now. In the past few days, I've been
  27. breaking glasses, banging into things, inadvertently starting
  28. fires, and I even crashed my boyfriend's car into a curb during a
  29. severe snowstorm (although it survived without visible damage --
  30. whew!). But today was the worst so far. It was snowing all day,
  31. and near sunset (near a trine of the Moon and Mars) the snow
  32. became lighter, so I invited my boyfriend to go outside and play
  33. in the snow. After a good snowball fight, we were standing near
  34. the garage, and I leaned over to wipe snow off the steps to the
  35. garage. While brushing snow off the bottom step, my feet very
  36. suddenly gave out from under me, apparently due to ice on the
  37. ground. I went down so fast, I didn't even have time to realise
  38. what was happening, let alone stop my fall. (This suddenness and
  39. speed is characteristic of Mars-Uranus contacts.) I landed with
  40. my chin on the bottom step, and my left arm got twisted in such a
  41. funny way that my shoulder became dislocated. OUCH!! It popped
  42. back into place as I turned over, but the accident left various
  43. tissues and nerves strained and sore. Given that I almost never
  44. have any serious bodily injury, this incident is very unusual for
  45. me. The worst injury I have had previous to this one was a
  46. sprained ankle. Fortunately, my very kindly boyfriend is taking
  47. good care of me. (Transiting Venus is conjunct my descendant).

  49. So why did this accident occur today rather than, for example, on
  50. the day of Mars' retrograde station? Because today there is a
  51. stellium of four bodies in late Scorpio/early Sag (Sun, Moon,
  52. Mercury, and Pluto) trining the conjunction of transiting Mars
  53. and my natal Uranus, forming a Grand Trine with my natal Sun in
  54. late Pisces. In numerology, the number 3 is associated with
  55. Jupiter, so I view the trine as Jovian. As such, it tends to
  56. expand/augment. It does not necessarily bring "good luck",
  57. although an expansion involving one's bank account might be
  58. experienced as good fortune. But in expanding the Mars-Uranus
  59. conjunction, it just makes accidents more likely.

  61. This transit reminds me of the transit of Uranus to my natal Mars
  62. a few years back. At that time, I had the first car accident I
  63. had had in nearly 20 years, as a result of a sudden and rash
  64. movement I made of my vehicle (I backed quickly into a parking
  65. space for which I had been waiting while someone vacated it
  66. because I saw another car trying to steal the space from behind;
  67. in backing up, my bumper put a nice dent in a truck sitting in
  68. the adjacent lane). While this transit was in orb, I attended a
  69. seminar given by Donna Van Toen, an excellent interpretive
  70. astrologer, on transits of the outer planets to natal Mars. The
  71. seminar was pertinent for me because in close succession I had
  72. Saturn, Neptune and Uranus conjuncting my Mars by transit, and I
  73. also had transiting Jupiter opposing my Mars (and boy did I get
  74. itchy feet; I spent six weeks driving around the states). As
  75. Donna was discussing the transit of Uranus to Mars, a pane of
  76. glass in its frame, part of the window, came crashing down,
  77. landing on its edge and making an awful noise. (The glass did not
  78. break.) I was closest the window. Donna asked who was having a
  79. Uranus-Mars transit, so I sheepishly put up my hand and
  80. apologised to the group for the incident.

  82. During conjunctions of Mars and Uranus, accidents and
  83. catastrophes don't just happen *to* you, they also happen
  84. *around* you. Donna claimed that during the transit of Uranus to
  85. natal Mars, computers and other machines in your vicinity would
  86. spontaneously break down. So far my computer has not failed me.
  87. But my boyfriend did break a copper water pipe yesterday while I
  88. stood next to him, through a rash action. I'm sure it was my
  89. influence.
