- Folks;
- As a new aquarist(?), I have a puzzling site in my tank. I am talking
- about a 30 gal. fresh that is 4 weeks old. One of the fish I have is a
- 'golden barb' that is about 1 1/2in. long. I obtained it from a friend
- who was shutting down his tank. I am not sure is I have a sick fish or
- not.
-
- This barb seems normal enuf most of the time, and has nothing that looks
- out of the ordinary. But every once in a while it will take off in a
- flight of very rapid short segments with 90 degree turns. I runs into
- polished rocks on the bottom; then turns sharply as it it had been shocked.
- The only other thing that seems either unusual (or ammusing) is that it
- seems to want to swim into the output port of the powerhead. I have seen
- the giant danios riding this jet stream as well.
-
- Do I have a sick fish? If so, with what; and what do I do about it?
-
- Thanx in advance
