- Fiddler crabs when they mate release their eggs in the water, these eggs
- have a oil in them that causes them to float. these eggs then hatch into
- really tiny creatures that join the zooplankton community. The eggs are
- microscopic so you would probably not even see them. from your descripion
- they are hard to i dentify. But i can tell you that they are not fiddler
- crabs they are a related crab. all male fiddler crabs have 1 large claw.
- if they all have small claws how do you know they are male? well to make
- sure check the undersides, the females tail will be rounded while the male
- will be for the most part narrow. about blowing the bubbles, yes this is
- normal behavior. all crabs have gills which must be kept moist so as to
- facilitate oxygen exchange. well if anyone has any more questions i will be
- happy to oblige you.
