  15. I see from articles listed in the UCB Melvyl database that the "top
  16. communist" "exonerating" Hiss is Gen. Dimitri Volkogonov, a military
  17. historian.  I didn't see the articles themselves, but it is all a
  18. question of what files he had access to, as well as his credibility in
  19. a matter, the identity of Soviet agents, that the Russians have said
  20. they will continue to keep secret.
