- I am currently writing a fileio routine for TPU so that EVE (or rather
- my version of it) can read files straight from an FTP server on a
- remote machine. Then I can replace vi with TPU, yay! Anyway, my question
- is why does TPU provide for multiple I/O streams? And what is the effect
- if I write a fileio routine that only supports having a single file open
- at a time? Since journal files are not handled by the fileio routine,
- under what circumstances would TPU ever have more than one file open at a
- time? This is probably a question for the DEC guys, (Bill? August?) but
- if anybody has had any experience with this I would appreciate your comments.
