- We have been having a problem with restarting the NFS_SERVER. The
- configuration was changed and I issued a 'reload' command. Subsequently the
- server apparently froze, (clients said server not responding) so I attempted to
- restart it (which has worked in the past).
-
- This is what happened:-
-
- $ multi conf/nfs
- MultiNet NFS Configuration Utility 3.1(33)
- [Reading in configuration from MULTINET:NFS.CONFIGURATION]
- NFS-CONFIG>restart
- Connected to NETCONTROL server on "127.0.0.1"
- < MCCLB0.MED.NYU.EDU Network Control 3.1(6) at Wed 22-Jul-92 2:54PM-EDT
- < NFS Server Failed to start after 60 tries
- < RPCMOUNT database reloaded
- NFS Client UID mappings reloaded
- NFS-CONFIG>quit
-
- Meantime the console had the message:
- Multinet Server: NFS_SERVER: Couldn't start process, %SYSTEM-F-DUPNAM,
- duplicate name
-
- Any ideas?
