  10. We have been having a problem with restarting the NFS_SERVER.  The 
  11. configuration was changed and I issued a 'reload' command.  Subsequently the
  12. server apparently froze, (clients said server not responding) so I attempted to 
  13. restart it (which has worked in the past).
  14.  
  15. This is what happened:-

  17. $ multi conf/nfs
  18. MultiNet NFS Configuration Utility 3.1(33)
  19. [Reading in configuration from MULTINET:NFS.CONFIGURATION]
  20. NFS-CONFIG>restart
  21. Connected to NETCONTROL server on "127.0.0.1"
  22. < MCCLB0.MED.NYU.EDU Network Control 3.1(6) at Wed 22-Jul-92 2:54PM-EDT
  23. < NFS Server Failed to start after 60 tries
  24. < RPCMOUNT database reloaded
  25. NFS Client UID mappings reloaded
  26. NFS-CONFIG>quit
  27.  
  28. Meantime the console had the message:
  29. Multinet Server: NFS_SERVER: Couldn't start process, %SYSTEM-F-DUPNAM, 
  30. duplicate name

  32. Any ideas?
