  13. My mother and her husband recently bought a house just outside Chapel Hill
  14. but have been having trouble with bacterial contamination in their well
  15. water.

  17. They are looking for a good local contractor who can fix the problem,
  18. either by digging a new well or by improving the existing well.  Any
  19. recommendations?  They would also appreciate general advice on well
  20. digging and upkeep.

  22. The well was originally dug by Hudson Well Co. (Charlie Collins).  The
  23. previous owners of the house hired Collins to re-line the well last
  24. October, in an apparently unsuccessful effort to fix the contamination
  25. problem.  Any information (positive or negative) about Hudson or Collins
  26. would also be appreciated.
