- Sometimes, I'm sat behind the wheel of the car, the accelerator pressed to the
- floor as I race along at over 140, the scenery forming a tunnel around the car.
- The system's blasting out music with more energy than the national grid, with
- more volume than the Pacific Ocean, so as to drown out the noise of the siren
- from the car behind. My rear-view mirror positioned so I can check out the
- hitcher in the back seat while I ignore her tense companion's mask of fear as
- he double checks the safety belt in the passenger seat, knowing it probably
- won't save him anyway. The motion of the car makes the head of the model of
- the Grim Reaper nod in the rear window, waving it's scythe to the receeding
- cars in a friendly fashion, as it watches them with its red, glowing eyes.
- And, at times like these, I think to myself,
- "When did I ever buy a car? I haven't even got a license. And besides, it's
- GREEN! I HATE green."
