-
- i don't mean to come across as insensitive, but aids is hardly an epidemic...
- i believe polio killed many more people in it's heydey than aids, and we ARE
- spending a larger proportion of our budget to fight aids than we did to fight
- polio...there are many more conditions that take lives than aids...like i said,
- it is a serious issue, but we are doing the best that we can be reasonably
- expected to do, and besides the whole myth of aids has been greatly exagerated..

-
- yes, it is an emotional topic, but the facts tell us that we can expect to be
- reasonably safe from the disease if we aren't in a "high-risk" category...
- now, i'm not saying that aids is a gay disease, but an overwhelming majority of
- aids victims happen to be gay...most of the rest are drug-users or very
- promiscuios heterosexuals...the odds of a non-drug-using, condom-using hetero-
- sexual contracting aids is very slim (i really feel sorry for those few who
- aren't "high risk", yet get the disease)
-
- i guess mom was right when she said, "you have to sleep in the bed you make"
