  11. One day Superman was squiring Lois Lane around town, and he was looking
  12. for a way to impress her.  He spotted a lump of coal on the ground and
  13. saw his chance.  He picked up the chunk and compressed it in his mighty
  14. hands, subjecting it to pressures and temperatures found only at the
  15. heart of a sun.

  17. Superman opened his hands to reveal, not a diamond as he had expected,
  18. but a smaller and denser lump of coal.  Lois looked at it lying in his
  19. hand, and a frown creased her pretty face.
