- No,there is no DMT in these toads. Bufotenine, which is a deadly poison,
- is, like many compunds in nature, hallucinogenic at low doses. So yes, it
- is quite risky, and somewhat cruel to the toad when LSD is available and
- more reliable.

- The ancient Mayans used Bufo marinis for its hallucinogenic effects. Spanish
- preists indicate witnessing rituals in which several toads were soaked in
- alcohol, and then the mix consumed by mayan males. Some of them tripped, some
- died. There is a good article about this in some old archeaology mag, but
