- Here I stand, on the corner. I can see that I've forgotten
- to pick up again. The two streets are littered with cars.
-
- In ten minutes, I will remember something, but now I
- have to live for the moment. I pull my broom from the
- manhole cover (it's an old town) and I start to sweep.
-
- I have the cars in a little pile covering the intersection
- when it dawns on me that I had wanted to drive one of these
- cars away. I lean on my broom, and my eyes begin to foam over,
- a bubbly foam like the way a wave slides back into the ocean forever.
