  9. Here I stand, on the corner. I can see that I've forgotten
  10. to pick up again. The two streets are littered with cars.

  12. In ten minutes, I will remember something, but now I
  13. have to live for the moment. I pull my broom from the
  14. manhole cover (it's an old town) and I start to sweep.

  16. I have the cars in a little pile covering the intersection
  17. when it dawns on me that I had wanted to drive one of these
  18. cars away. I lean on my broom, and my eyes begin to foam over, 
  19. a bubbly foam like the way a wave slides back into the ocean forever.
