  13. The man is obviously royalty.  He wears a crown on his head.

  15. But he is a just a picture on a small, rectangular piece of 
  16. plastic-coated cardboard.

  18. Little eight-year-old Billy Johnson plucks it from the top 
  19. of the pile and spreads his hand out on the table.  "Gin!  
  20. I win!  I win!"

  22. "You cheated!"  His opponent (the terrorist kidnapper) screams.
  23. He points an Uzi directly at the young boy's face and squeezes
  24. the trigger.  BA-TA-TA-TA-TAT!  He shoots little Billy dead.

  26. "CUT!"  shouts the director.  "Coleman, Baby, I need you to 
  27. hold perfectly still after the bad guy shoots you.  Can you do 
  28. that for me, Gary?"  He mops his forehead.  "Alright, let's do 
  29. it again.  Makeup!"

  33. Edna switches off the small television set in the kitchen.  "What 
  34. a stupid program."  She thinks.

  36. Indeed, she muses, the expensive new software she purchased to run 
  37. her servants is not all it is cracked up to be.  They still leave 
  38. the T.V. on, knock over priceless vases...etc.  The old adage is
  39. still as true today: there's just no substitute for a human servant.

  41. Suddenly, the deck beneath her feet shudders violently.  She hears 
  42. an ominous groaning from deep within the bowels of the steel space-
  43. craft.  "Wha -- ?"  But before she can finish, the hull ruptures and 
  44. she is sucked straight out into the void, to die the hideous death 
  45. all spacemen fear most --

  49. -- Gina sits bolt upright in bed.  For a few moments she can only 
  50. claw at her bedclothes in terror.  Then she realizes: it was all 
  51. just a crazy nightmare!

  55. She switches off the television set.  Some stupid show about ter-
  56. rorists.  That plus the pizza with everything on it.  "Shit!  No 
  57. wonder I had a bad dream."      She rolls over and goes to sleep.
