- Well...my only belief is that I support father-NOTIFICATION-ONLY laws. (I
- say "father" as opposed to "husband," because I do not think that being
- unmarried should make a difference) I state only that I think that a father
- should have the right to KNOW whether he is going to lose a child.

- I am still a civil libertarian at heart, so I do not know whether I could
- support a father-*permission* law, however.

- There is a big difference between father-notification and father-CONSENT
- requirements. I am not currently convinced that giving the father the right
- to KNOW will allow him to dictate the woman's behavior. That would only
- apply if there were a law in place that required consent.
