- Well, I'll rush to someone else's defense here. I believe the argument goes
- that if one is to follow the commandment "Thou shalt not kill," that it is
- meant to apply to innocent human life. I know the Catholic Church years ago
- logically concluded even a newly formed embryo to be innocent human life, and
- so concluded that abortion was wrong. Everything you mentioned above, as a
- matter of fact, is considered sinful - following from an argument that God's
- purpose is being frustrated when people do these things. I think most other
- Churches have either adopted or agreed with these beliefs. This discussion
- could go on forever - basically, the "line is drawn" at the point where a
- person no longer has control over what happens.
