  24. Also, there are many theorists like me in this group, and I'm
  25. not sure that anything we say could be construed as "scientific
  26. method," let alone "truth."  We don't obtain our information from
  27. small children, but we don't check our musings by building
  28. experiments either... that's someone else's job.

  30. Inappropriate postings will abound in any unmoderated group.
  31. So will mistakes, hallucinations, massive crossposts, etcetera.
  32. I'd hate to have my erroneous babbling about supersymmetry on
  33. this group when I was a rank newbie brought up as evidence in my
  34. qualifying oral exam.

  36. Our best defense is to swamp the noise with signal.
