- Drawing on research in psychology, artificial intelligence,
- linguistics, philosophy and computer science, work in the Cognitive
- Sciences promises an interdisciplinary approach to the mind which
- transforms our understanding of psychological phenomena. The
- conference will address a variety of questions concerning the
- foundations of cognitive science and the philosophical importance of
- the models of mind which it produces in such areas as connectionism,
- conceptual thought, intentionality, rationality, and perception.
-
- The proceedings of the conference will be published in a volume
- produced by the Cambridge University Press, as a supplement to the
- journal _Philosophy_.
