  24.     Not true.  I believe that the mechanism of a retro virus
  25. was well understood.  It was I that took some time to learn
  26. how the littler bugger does it's damage.  Now that I seem
  27. to have a better understanding I realize that all of the
  28. reseach/money (and I would like to emphasize money), is
  29. wasted on ucleoside analoges.  These nuc drugs do not realy
  30. help PWAs but more they help other trying to get money.
  31. If the govn. realy wanted to help, then they woulnd't
  32. have spent almost ten years on drugs that "maybe" only
  33. stop one route of the virus (reproduction in the cytoplasm).
  34. What about after it's incorporated in the DNA.  No, IMHO,
  35. nuc drugs have helped the epidic, it was a quick fix and
  36. should have been surpased by more logical drugs.  There is
  37. no common sense when it comes to profit, look at DNCB!
  38.     It does take a long time to find a cure but and even
  39. longer time does it take it your ot realy trying.
