- I hope you'll be able to help me solve a problem. A relative is interested in
- the Life Extension Foundation which offers a list of doctors knowledgeable in
- "advanced therapies" such as using hydergine and eldepryl and vasopressin for
- treating memory problems and depression. Their ad offers a list of clinic
- where such unapproved drugs would be available and offers a mail order
- pharmacy.
-
- Does anyone know anything at all about this group, whether it's "safe" or
- alarming? Any comments? Any experience with it?
-
- And what do you think of the use of vasopressin to treat depression,
- particularly manic depressive illness? If it's a diuretic, isn't it
- dangerous, especially for someone who drinks very little water?
-
- Any and all comments would be much appreciated. Thank you!
