- I have this problem with spider bites. It was the bane of my childhood
- because every summer I got sent home from camp with my eyes swollen shut,
- my lips swollen to grandiose proportions, and needing hospital intervention
- to help me breathe. I am also allergic to every other type of insect bite,
- such as fleas, mosquitos, etc. With the spider bites I learned as an adult
- to ALWAYS put on insect repellent before I go to bed. Since I am pregnant,
- I can't do this, and of course I have had 2 spider bites this week, both
- in my right arm which is now swollen, and to make matters worse, Mrs Spider
- laid her eggs in my bedroom and the other night there were about 50
- baby spiders rappelling off my ceiling. I got out the vacuum and sucked
- them up! It felt great.
-
- I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent spider bites save
- use repellant, mosquito netting, and learn the quickest route to the
- emergency room.
