  12. For the last 2 months, I've been experiencing symptoms of labrynthitis,
  13. so says the doctor.

  15. He prescribed an anti-histamine and said it would make the symptoms
  16. go away. The only thing it did was make me drousy. It did not
  17. improve my condition, so I stopped taking it after a week.

  19. Additional notes:

  21. 1) I can distinctly feel that this whole thing is on the left
  22. side of my head only.

  24. 2) On the left side, it feels like there is a slight pressure surrounding
  25. my ear.

  27. 3) On the left side, there is a slight tingling sensation on my scalp
  28. about 2.5 inches above my ear every now and then.

  30. 4) The symptoms occasionally intensify momemtarily when I stand up from
  31. sitting down.

  33. 5) This happend to me once 3 years ago, but it felt more light headed
  34. than dizzy and last 6 weeks.

  36. 6) This is the same side I used to get intense headaches behind the
  37. eye when I was about 9 - 14. The headaches would usually come the
  38. same time every year(September). I doubt they are related to this
  39. but I thought it should be brought up.

  41. 7) The symptoms seem to improve slightly at night.

  43. 8) It makes turning my eyes side to side distracting.

  46. Could this be something other than movement in the semi-circular canals?
  47. If it is, what could be causing it for this lenth of time.

  49. If is not, what else could be causing these symptoms? What biochemical
  50. imbalances? I am slightly hyper-thyroid, but no more so than everyone
  51. else in my family. I am also slightly hypo-glycemic. I think most
  52. adults are, even if they don't know it.

  54. What about brain tumors?

  57. Any insights would be most appreciated.

  59. I am seeing a doctor tomorrow, but will entertain speculation since
  60. doctors often misdiagnose anyways.
