- Howdy,
-
- I am curious about Genes and passing on "bad" traits. I have
- two problems that I am concerned about. One is that I am deaf in my
- left ear (it is unknown the cause of this). My right ear is fully
- functioning. The second is my high blood pressure. My father has it
- and so does his uncles. There is a third trait that I do not have, but
- it occurs for my mother and sister (it is depression). My mother's
- father had and so does one of my male cousins.
-
- My question is: Is it likely that these traits will be passed to
- my children??? If so, should I consider not having children? This is
- very serious and has been a concern for me for the last 15 years.
-
- Any opinions will be helpful, Kirk
