- Hello,
-
- I have a curious reaction to some fruit juices and some wines (primarily
- white wines). About five to ten minutes after drinking, I get slightly
- nauseous, and the muscles around my shoulders and upper arms get stiff
- and very sore (like somebody beat them with a hammer). This reaction
- lasts about 10 to 15 minutes and then disappears. I don't recall any
- other symptoms.
-
- What causes this? It does not seem to be a protein allergy, since I have
- those (pollens, cats, some foods) and the symptoms there are entirely
- different (usually sinus related).
-
- Thanks.
-
