- The content of this thread has changed considerably since the first
- postings. Your posting documents some very rude, demeaning behavior
- on the part of some very paternalistic physicians which should be
- condemend. This is very different from what I was originally talking
- about, namely withholding of information which I felt would be
- damaging to the patient's condition or not in his/her best interests.
- This difference appears clear to me - however, I must admit that
- the situation must appear different to others, as I have had several
- responses which indicate that the responder believes I said it was
- okay to lie to patients.
