  19. The content of this thread has changed considerably since the first
  20. postings. Your posting documents some very rude, demeaning behavior
  21. on the part of some very paternalistic physicians which should be
  22. condemend. This is very different from what I was originally talking
  23. about, namely withholding of information which I felt would be
  24. damaging to the patient's condition or not in his/her best interests.
  25. This difference appears clear to me - however, I must admit that
  26. the situation must appear different to others, as I have had several
  27. responses which indicate that the responder believes I said it was
  28. okay to lie to patients.
