- I can use ParametricPlot3D to draw a sphere but how can I change the
- surface shading or coloring to my own desires? What I want is a sphere
- with dark bands running parallel to the equator, say 3 band above and
- below the equator. Then a sphere with "lemon wedge" bands running
- parallel to the meridians. All this is to show how the earth is modeled
- for higher order gravitational terms.
-
- Any tips or tricks for drawing this are appreciated.
