  18. A friend who is a Native Texan grew up with the term "nigger-rigged",
  19. which has a similar folk-etymology to "jerry-rigged", that is,
  20. referring to the ingenuity of blacks folks with few resources.  In
  21. this more enlightened age, my friend instead uses the term
  22. "African-American engineering".
