- A friend who is a Native Texan grew up with the term "nigger-rigged",
- which has a similar folk-etymology to "jerry-rigged", that is,
- referring to the ingenuity of blacks folks with few resources. In
- this more enlightened age, my friend instead uses the term
- "African-American engineering".
