- I'll bite. Why is a one millimeter per year raise in sea level
- important? That's a meter in a thousand years.

- deep ocean below which the temperature is 4 degrees C has been rising
- irreversibly for perhaps a few million years and that it would eventually
- have some catastrophic effect - I forget what.
