- As far as I know, Mac floppy disks use this method. However, there would
- be no way to vary the peed of a hard disk fast enough to keep up with the
- position of the heads. Drives take a few seconds to spin up to speed,
- but only, say, 20 millisecs to move the head to the other side of the platter.
