  21. As far as I know, Mac floppy disks use this method.  However, there would
  22. be no way to vary the peed of a hard disk fast enough to keep up with the
  23. position of the heads.  Drives take a few seconds to spin up to speed,
  24. but only, say, 20 millisecs to move the head to the other side of the platter.
