- The MAR-6 is a silicon monolithic amplfier. From the Mini-Circuits
- catalog:
- Freq Gain
- ---- ----
- 100 MHz 20 dB
- 500 19
- 1000 16
- 2000 11
-
- Output power = 0 dBm @ 1 dB compression
- VSWR = 2:1 input, 1.8:1 output
-
- DC current = 50 mA
-
- Price = $1.29 (!!)

- To bias the thing up, use an RF choke in series with a resistor on the
- output pin. Choose the resistor to supply 50 mA with the dc voltage
- at the output pin set to ~5V. Make sure to include dc blocking caps
- on the inputs & outputs.
-
- By the way, these are just Avantek parts re-packaged for Mini-Circuits.
-
- For more info, contact Mini-Circuits at (718) 934-4500. Ask them
- for a catalog.
