- o When I was a little kid, we had a record (probably a 78) containing
- a cowboy "radio drama". It must have had grooves that split and
- re-combined, because each time we played it the plot would be a
- little different. Things like the good guys would sometimes "head
- 'em off at the pass", but on other listenings they'd go back to
- town to gather a posse. Not surprisingly, as we played it over and
- over, some sub-plots disappeared, never to be heard again. The
- needle had worn a path to one side of a groove split or the other.
