- Seiko had 7 to 8 years ago a Solar powered watch. Sold for under $15.00
- at your local department stores.
-
- It had a small solar panel and LCD display. it had NO internal power
- supply, but stored the energy from the solar panel (very small by the
- way). it took about 2 minutes in bright light to charge and used
- ambient light to stay charged.
-
- you could put the watch in the closet and leave it for a couple of days
- and then remove it. it would still have the correct time.
-
- it had soft rubber watch band and was all one piece. didn't do too well
- as it wasn't a rolex. :-) didn't go too well with evening gowns with
- diamonds and didn't go well with tux and tie. :-)
-
- anyone still own one?
-
-
- this watch did not measure uv radiation, but might have been mistaken
- for same.
-
- has anyone seen the uv meters used by radio/tv stations they use
- to measure uv radiation on sunny days to warn sun bathers of radiation
- levels, i.e. 15 minutes to serious sunburn for fair skinned individuals?
- looks like one or more individuals could get rich by making version (cheap)
- to sell with your sunscreen for the beach. my idea and my patent pending.
-
- ciao,
