- But PCM is a different technique; it might suggest to some marketroid a
- number to shoot for, but not much else.

- 48.0 is the standard pro sampling rate used before and since. When Phillips
- announced their format, soon thereafter I remember a Sony digital processor
- vaporware announcement about dual rate capability, etc.
