- Trickery.
- Example: a blank CDR disk has a preformatted spiral at the required pitch
- (1.6u?). This could be closed slightly.

- This spiral has a wobble @ 22.050kHz and a second wobble at a few hertz. As
- you will guess the CDR mechanism is not clever and will blindly adjust it's
- speed to lock to the wobble (the low one gives absolute time).

- The 73 min disks have the wobble a bit faster, so the CDR responds by slowing
- the disk...

- Squeezing more onto the disk is probably ultimately limited by what
- proportion of CD players will accept the disk. There are many pitfalls (sic).
