- Yeap. I once built an Stereo amp with that. I think it was more like
- 5.8W. I blew the chips about 6 months later due to my mistake and
- couldn't get a replacement as it was off their catalog. I like the
- National Semiconductor LM1875 chips. They are in TO-220 and give up
- to 25W and pretty rugged. Also their low cost, availability (from
- Jameco) and low component counts is very hard to beat.

- I have only blew 1 in last 3 years or so (in spite of the fact that this
- one has a pair of 18,000uF caps and a heavy duty power supply) while
- the other ones last a shorter time under my attack of the soldering iron.
