- A couple of years back, I wandered into a Radio Shack at lunchtime, and they
- had a closeout on these Philips TDA1520A (& TDA1520B) single-chip "20W Hi-Fi
- Audio Amplifiers." I bought a couple with the intention of building a pair
- of self-amplified bookshelf speakers for my synthesizer (or whatever). I'm
- just getting around to the project (sound familiar?), and I was wondering if
- anyone else had used these chips before. Any caveats? Is the "Test & appli-
- cation circuit" correct? Parts of it look suspicious, but my op-amps course
- was too many unused years ago.
-
- I remember that RS had a (10W?) stereo audio amp chip, but these are single-
- channel. The chip is a 9-pin SIP with dimensions around .5" x 1" x .2".
