- One summer I was just finishing mowing our (slightly wet) lawn, with a
- lawn mower that had lost the spark plug boot. I wondered just how hot
- the crankcase was, and licked my fingers, intending to momentarily
- touch them to the case. The mower was running, and I absent-mindedly
- grabbed the end of the spark plug (it was very hot and my brain must
- not have been running at 100%).
-
- When I woke up, I was flat on my back about seven feet from the mower,
- which was still running. I had a very bad headache and my arm was very
- sore. My fingers were burned, but not too badly.
