- Just another shocker....
-
- My senior year at college I was working in the physics lab attempting to charge
- a teflon disk to approx. 1200v. It just so happens that the teflon disk was
- located in a plastic holder. I was and always am very careful around H.V., in
- fact, the supply that I was using had enough current capacity to demand
- respect. To make a long story short, I was holding the plastic holder and I
- applied the H.V. probe to the disk. The probe accidently touched the plastic
- holder, no problem right it's plastic. WRONG it was of course conductive
- plastic, an introduction that I will never forget; if only I could remember.
