- A capsule summary.
-
- 1. Active Electronics has a $25 line item minimum so you have to buy
- more than you need.
-
- 2. The strange parts (Delay line, Chroma bandpass transfomer) are available
- from Digikey in the Toko section.
-
- 3. The spec sheet is miserable, but the stuff you need to know is in the
- application note. (AN932)
-
- 4. The way the color burst is generated is hokey, but you can override it.
-
- 5. The output is NTSC, or close to it, with all the limitations that
- implies. Hint: there is a reason the original IBM Color Graphics Adapter
- has a 40 column mode for text.
-
- There have been projects in the first year of Circuit Cellar Ink, in the
- series about an automated home weather station, and in Radio-Electronics
- (December 1989).
