  24. What about something like: "quis expungat ipsos expunctores"

  26. That also isn't quite right, but perhaps gets the idea of picking out
  27. individual messes, rather than a general sorting out. Expunctor does
  28. exist; according to L&S Tertullian uses it once.

  30. By the way, if you want to keep parallel with Juvenal's original (quis
  31. custodiat ipsos custodes) the ipsos has to go before the verb (which
  32. needs to be subjunctive).
