- Aren't Red-tailed Hawks protected? I listen to several outside my window
- here in Seattle, and I was under the impression that it was illegal to have
- one in your possession without a permit. This was from a neighbor who tried
- to save a baby RT Hawk and was chewed out royally by the wild bird people. (it
- was being pecked at by crows while on the ground)
