- I vaguely remember reading somewhere that different Nebula filters were better
- at various pupil diameters. Does someone no what this is based on and what
- the figures are for Deep Sky, UHC, and OIII?
-
- The reason why is that I have been using a 8" SCT at about 85x for a exit pupil
- of about 2.4 for most of my observing. I have an Orion DeepSky filter and for
- the most part, I was rather disappointed with the performance even on Nebula.
-
- Recently I switched to a bigger scope and have been using it with an exit
- pupil size of about 4.8. Nebula are now MUCH better using the filter.
-
- What gives? Or is it more the fact I have switched to a bigger scope?
