- The Perseid meteor shower, which peaks around the 12th, has the potential
- to produce more meteors than normal, due to the possible return of its
- parent comet, Swift-Tuttle. Higher activity than normal was seen in Japan
- last year.

- Unfortunately, escaping from the lights of Denver won't be your major concern.
- Unless you can also escape from the light of the full moon, much of the
- visual observations will be hampered :(

- However, you can try observing a few days before and after the peak as well;
- radio observations (which I've never done) are also possible. See the
