- On my last two flights on 737's, the pilots deployed minimum flaps and took
- off at the last possible moment. After the second flight, I asked the pilots
- why this was done and was told that it was to have as much airspeed in case
- of unexpected occurances. Theory being (I suppose, being only an interested
- passenger) that the extra speed will help prevent stalls which might happen
- at higher flap/lower speed takeoffs.
