- I heard the news on the radio today here in New Jersey and was Shocked.

- I knew and ran with Ron back in the 70's in St. Paul.
- He was the epitome of a tough endurance athlete.
- I remember him saying he'd never watch the Super Bowl on TV
- when he could use the time instead as a participant by going
- out on a easy little 17 mile run in the snowy and cold winter.

- especially since I myself am now 50 and still consider myself
- immune to heart problems.
