- >Hmm... A Cyclone Clone that's better than the original Cyclone, eh?
-
- Well, in some ways. I like on the original how the end of the ride
- is this ultra low-profile trackwork that you really ZIP through.
- Coming off the lower Surf Ave turn on the Coney Cyclone, you
- weave through a real vicious section of trackwork which I have YET
- to see replicated on ANY of the cyCLONEs.
-
- Comparitively, the end of the GA Cyclone is much slower, but with
- more negative g forces. I hear the Coney Cyclone is a finiky
- beast...some say it's a wild ride when running well, but I don't
- think I have ever rode it when it was running top notch.
-
- The Coney Cyclone has a better first drop, and a better ending,
- but again, with varing performance, negative g's can happen or
- not happen. The GA Cyclone seemed more consistant in performance.
-
-
- >Sounds like a very wild ride! What does the GP seem to think of it?
-
- They like it a lot. They pull their seat belts tight and shove
- the racheting lap bars all the way down, so they aren't going
- anywhere (read -- can't hurt themselves). These are also the
- FIRST set of racheting lap bars on a new PTC train that actually
- STAY UP during the ride!! I kept my bar relatively high up on
- each ride, and it stayed there through the positive g's, which
- I was impressed by. That and a loose seat belt made the most of
- the ride's great negative g forces.
