- Hope youall don't mind a novitiate hopping on!

- I hadn't been on a rollercoaster in 25 or so years... I used to get vertigo
- from heights, etc. Since growing up from non-adrenaline wimpdom, I've been
- into a few thrill seekin things.
-
- So I found myself back in Ohio in mid-June for a family deal, and a few
- cousins am I deciced to go over to introduce a new cousin-in-law (from France)
- to King's Island.

- We hopped onto the (forward) Racer right away, at that point, the backward
- line was much longer.
-
- Good ride, but I was looking for bigger thrills. Later in the day, as we
- walked by the Vortex line, I decided to try it. One cuz & girlfriend had taken
- off for a business picnic, and my cuz & new wife decided the line was too
- long. And she was cold. So I soloed. 35 minutes wait thru an enormous(?)
- line. As I got close, I wondered how fast this was moving. 3 trains @ 28
- heads per train is 84. Round it to 80 for the odd empty seat. The same train
- came by every 3 minutes, maybe plus 15 seconds. So multiply by 18 runs per
- train per hour to get 1440 heads per hour.... not shabby!
-
- And the ride!!! worth it!! Not like the kiddie rollers at the Franklin
- County Fair.
-
- So when I met the wimps (Hey, they're my cousins, I can call'em wimps if I
- want!), I talked them into the Beast!!
-
- Woww!! I loved the twice thru tunnel!! Ain't it fun to screammm!!!
-
- (The word from France is, if the line's longer than 5 minutes, no one will
- stand around and wait! No accounting for taste!)
