  26. I remember my first Combat meet ever (where I actually beat Bob Bearden
  27. in my first ever Fast Combat match). Someone flew a foamie in Fast that 
  28. had apparently been repaired one time too many. Halfway through the match
  29. it started flopping around in the turns and the wings started to flap.
  30. The thing eventually came apart altogether.

  32. I also remember an incident at last year's Nats where Mike Wilcox blew
  33. the outboard wing off his Arrowplane from just flying level. Those Texas
  34. Foxes are really fast!

  36. Some years ago some person was flying a foamie in Slow when he got bumped
  37. by the other plane. His plane immediately shed its wings and ended up 
  38. impaled in the soft ground like an arrow. Back then foamies had a really
  39. bad reputation for shedding wings. They don't anymore thank goodness..
  40. we've learned to make em better.
