  11. Greetings fellow techies,

  13. My friend and I were having a discussion about rotory (wankel)
  14. engines as in the Mazda RX-7. I've always heard that the
  15. wankel is a great design. Powerful and simple. I am curious as 
  16. to why Mazda is the only company producing them. These engines
  17. have been around for some time and I don't think Mazda owns the
  18. patent on them. If it's such a great design, why don't other 
  19. companies produce them? Why does Mazda only use this engine in    
  20. the RX-7 model?  Hey, inquiring minds want to know! :-)
