- Two stroke engines have many advantages, such as power/displacement ratio,
- power/weight ratio, and mileage, as well as long life and fewer moving
- parts. The emissions problems of older engines are being overcome with
- new lubrication schemes, and so on. The 2-stroke engines in my older SAABs
- have each gone over 100,000 miles, some over 200,000, without incident. Even
- these older engines (early 60s) are reliable if kept in proper tune.
