- I fully agree. I like the way they actually tear a car down and show
- you how to do things, rather than cribbing from the factory manual. A
- Chilton's or Clymer's will tell you how to diagnose, say, a bad
- alternator, then tells you to run down to your dealer and shell out $225
- for a new one. The Haynes manuals typically tell you how to fabricate
- the proper tools out of a coat hanger and some strap iron, and show you
- how to do it yourself. *Much* better IMHO.
